I Tested the Rear Seat Covers for Mazda Cx5: My Honest Review and Buying Notes

This option earned its ranking because of its remarkable versatility across multiple vehicle sizes. If you own several cars, this pet hammock offers a multi-car solution that saves you from buying separate protectors for every vehicle in your driveway.

In my opinion, the hammock style works brilliantly for keeping pets off the floorboards. But you should know that universal pet covers often require extra tucking along the sides of a Mazda CX-5 bench to stay put.

This pick suits the meticulous owner who demands absolute precision from their interior accessories. If you drive a newer Mazda and hate the sliding mess of universal mats, this custom-fit design aligns perfectly with your factory seat contours.

What stood out to me during my research is how well the engineered openings match the factory seatbelt buckles. My only hesitation is that precise tailoring leaves very little room for error if your rear bench dimensions vary slightly by trim year.

The standout feature here is the clever convertible split-bench zipper, which allows passengers to share the back seat with a pet. This split-bench versatility makes it my pick for drivers who frequently switch between human passengers and furry companions.

I appreciate how adaptable this design is for everyday family life. However, universal styles never hug the Mazda CX-5 contours quite as tightly as molded alternatives.

The most common buyer complaint about these mats involves the initial chemical odor right out of the box, but that minor issue fades quickly in fresh air. Once aired out, this all-weather TPE protection transforms your seat backs into an armor shield against cargo scrapes.

I think these mats are essential if you constantly fold your seats down to haul messy gear. Just remember that these cover the backrests rather than the seating surface itself.

Unlike the utility-focused pet covers above, this model focuses entirely on giving your interior a luxury aesthetic. The faux leather finish elevates your cabin look without the high cost of reupholstering.

I'd rank this high for styling, but I wouldn't recommend it for households with large, clawed pets. Leather surfaces show scratches much faster than heavy canvas or Oxford cloth.

This protector gained popularity through its reputation for accommodating modern hybrid battery layouts without blocking crucial sensors. That hybrid compatibility makes it my recommendation for eco-friendly Mazda drivers who still travel with pets.

I find the specific attention to hybrid interior layouts reassuring. But keep in mind that specialized fit means fewer color choices are available.
